On 1st of December, a famous artist called Zhao Bin visited our school. Zhao Bin is a scholar ,who is talking us about landsape garden of Suzhou. He is a man who was be bern in 1968. He is studying in Scenery gardens academy landscape architecture department now. He is one of the most famous professional landscape architects in China, who gave us a speech on the famous Suzhou Gardens. I have listened a good introduction about landsape garden of Suzhou in that afternoon I think.



Mr. Zhao said "Jiang Nan gardens is number one in the world , Suzhou gardens occupies first place over Jiang Nan ". Suzhou garden is a very famous place in China. It is a natrual place in China. Such as her beauty that, like Hangzhou, the city of Suzhou has often been called an “Earthly Paradise”. Suzhou is famous for their gardens.Before liberation, they were privately owned by high officials, landlords of other wealthy men and concealed behind high walls like islands of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. It is a very beautiful area and wonderful place.


First, Mr. Zhao told us that 'Yuan' meaning. 'Yuan' is means gardens in Chinese and a garden which is in Chinese style should be composed of lands, trees, water and walls. 'Yuan' is a very good place to have a rest , it must lands ,trees,waterand walls and its a place can attrated people to go. Also, many people love to go there.



Mr. Zhao told us that the designs of the old Chinese architects were not only wonderful but also creative. They designed the ponds and made them into different shapes and sizes. It was just like the tailor cutting the clothes. All the gardens are small gardens,and all the small garden is truly exquisite in design, the rockeries imaginative. They are fine examples showing how the natural landscape both inside and outside coule be merged. Different areas of different designing in the Suzhou garden can let people feel different feeling, but the whole garden let people feeling natrual and mystery, its very amazing.



I have known the Suzhou garden has about 20 different building, 22 plateaux and tablets, 23 parallel couplets,153 steles. I think its a very big area in China and also its a natrual place , beause it has mamy tree and flowers, its turely natrual.

I was attracted by the lecture. Mr.Zhao's speech was so wonderful that I cannot stop listening to him. I learnt a lot from this lecture and I love gardens very much. But Mr. Zhao did not finish the speech because it was too late. What a pity~~ We enjoyed ourselves that afternoon and all thank for Mr. Zhao's speech.
